| Notes | The National Monuments Acts provide for the
making of Preservation Orders and Temporary Preservation Orders in respect of national monuments. If a monument, in the Minister’s opinion, is a national monument an is in danger of being or is actually being destroyed, injured or removed, or is falling into decay through neglect, the Minister may by order (i.e. a Preservation Order) undertake the preservation of such monument. The Preservation Order spatial dataset defines a polygon boundary for the monuments in question. |
