|
Notes | Standardised mortality ratios for deaths from all causes and from eight causes in Glasgow from 2000 to 2012 .
The Glasgow ratios are a percentage of the numbers dead in Glasgow from that cause that would be expected for Glasgow City if it had the same age/sex-specific death rates as Scotland as a whole. The eight causes are: all cancers; Stomach Cancer; Large Intestine cancer; Trachea, Bronchus, Lung cancer; Female breast cancer; Ischaemic Heart Disease; CerebroVascular and Pneumonia. They were calculated using the 'rebased' mid-year population estimates for 2002 to 2011- see [Births and Deaths Rates: breaks in series circa 2011](http://www.gro-scotland.gov.uk/statistics/theme/vital-events/general-bckgr-info/births-and-deaths-rates-breaks-in-series-circa-2011.html) Data extracted 2014-04-09 from [the General Register Office for Scotland](http://www.gro-scotland.gov.uk/statistics/theme/vital-events/deaths/time-series.html) |
