Notes | The Food Hygiene Information Scheme (FHIS) rates the hygiene standards in Scottish food premises. These premises cover eating places from pubs to prisons, suppliers like supermarkets and food shops, and processors such as butchers and packers.
The scheme is run by local authorities such as [Glasgow City Council](http://www.glasgow.gov.uk) (GCC) in partnership with the [Food Standards Agency Scotland](http://food.gov.uk/scotland) (FSA).
