CO2 Emissions within the scope of influence of Glasgow City

The aim of this dataset is to provide nationally consistent carbon dioxide emission estimates at local authority and regional level. This work has been made possible following the publication of local gas, electricity and road transport fuel consumption estimates. 'For detailed information on data quality and methodology of this project, please read the Ricardo-AEA [report.](https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/local-authority-carbon-dioxide-emissions-methodology-notes) The sources included and excluded in the estimates are based on guidelines set out by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). For example, the estimates need to include emissions caused by all domestic, commercial, industrial and
agricultural fuel and electricity use, as well as emissions associated with transport and
land use change. However, international shipping and aviation are excluded

Data provided is an extract of data from Emissions within the scope of influence of Local Authorities for 2005 - 2012 published by Department of Energy and Climate Change on 2014-06-26T00:00:00 - filtered to show emissions for Glasgow City local authority area.
