* *ID:* refers to the route ID in the shape file * *Name:* description of the route * *Length:* length of the route in meters * *DelaySeverity:* severity of delay in relation to optimal travel time (the higher the number, the bigger the delay – can be used for a colourscale) * *ActualTT:* actual travel time, separate field for hours, minutes and seconds + field that expresses traveltime in seconds only * *Delay:* actual travel time minus optimal travel time * *OptimalTT:* optimal travel time: caution! This is the theoretical optimal travel time, a result of multiplying distance by maximum allowed speed. This traveltime does not take into account factors like traffic lights etc, what makes these times mostly unrealistic on roads others than highways. In order to obtain a better reference traveltime, it is best to take the average between the hours of 6 and 7 am, when there is enough traffic to generate accurate numbers, but mostly not enough to generate traffic jams Google map where the routes are drawn for your reference: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=zj7uG9QlqbwI.kLOQ3HRGKTEo Refresh rate: every minute Source: http://www.be-mobile-international.com/ - data bought by the city of Ghent for you to use openly, without restrictions. Availabilty: 19/01/2015 until 01/02/2015 as a test Comments & Feedback: are very welcome @AppsForGhent or pieter.morlion@gent.be |
