National public transport nodes

The NTA transport nodes database contains national data pertaining to all public transport nodes including taxi ranks. A transport node is defined as either a point to access the transport network or a point through which it is possible to change transport mode. Within the database the list of transport nodes are: Dublin Bus stops, Bus Eireann stops, bus station entrances/waiting areas/bays, train station entrances/waiting areas/platforms, LUAS entrances/waiting areas/platforms, ferry port entrances/waiting areas/berths, airport entrances, airport terminal buildings, private bus operator stops and taxi rank locations. The datasets have been set up to conform to a UK standard known as the National Public Transport Access Node (NaPTAN), this dataset will form the basis for all journeys created within the soon to be released national intermodal journey planner. All of the data has been captured in 2011 with the exception of the Dublin Bus and Bus Eireann datasets where original datasets were acquired and checked for spatial accuracy.
