| Notes | The City Council Heritage and Biodiversity Office sought this tree survey in accordance with the Nautral Environment targets of the Dublin City Heritage Plan 2002-2007 and in recognition of the contribution of trees to the character of an urban area and to afford better protection of urban trees in Architectural Conservation Areas. This data utilises a methodology developed in a 2007 pilot field survey of an area of south central Dublin assessing individual trees and their impact within identified streets, focussing on their arboreal, ecological, horticultural and landscape significance and assessing long term maintenance and management issues. The methodology was refined in a sample survey in 2008. In 2009 all trees on the road network were surveyed using GPS-enabled mobile field computers and this database was prepared, holding tree and street survey data for project area with hyperlinks to survey images. Accompanying reports are available in pdf, while survey data is in access database and excel spreadsheets, with images in jpeg formats.
