Geographic Coverage: Survey focussed in six main river catchments: Barrow, Blackwater (Munster region), Boyne, Clare, Moy and Nore, all designated as Special Areas of Conservation (SAC) formed the basis for this survey. Temporal Coverage: Entire survey completed between March and early June 2010. Species Groups recorded: bird Dataset Status: Survey completed and results presented in a report: Cummins, S, Fisher, J, Gaj McKeever, R., McNaghten, L. & Crowe, O. Assessment of the distribution and abundance of Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis) and other riparian birds on eight SAC river systems in Ireland.
