Under the Making Space for Water project RF7, a nationally consistent methodology to identify catchments where there is potential for extreme flash flooding to occur has been developed. This information has been added to a register and, following detailed Area and Regional FRM review, communities where the potential speed, depth and velocity of flooding could present an extreme risk to life have been identified, the data of which is contained in the Rapid Response Catchments dataset. |
